Marketing & Communication Executive

Kepong, W.P. Kuala Lumpur


        1.  PR & COMMUNICATION

  • Assist sales and marketing management with communications, media, advertising and   promotional activities to effectively represent the company's corporate image, products, services and public communications
  • Co-ordinating and assisting all PR activities on behalf of  the Company including press/media, print, advertising, listings and digital communications
  • Ensuring the website, social media content and other digital resources are up to date, accurate and relevant
  • Communicate with target audiences and manage customer relationships
  • Writes draft speeches or articles and material for company’s external  communication 
  • Assisting and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of an annual or long term marketing plan to drive forward agreed company objectives.
  • Assisting in  the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters and DVDs
  • Prepare for site visits and provide marketing report on site visits and improvement and follow-up suggestions & Competitor comparisons
  • Carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
  • Carry out market tour to gather marketing information and competitor comparisons to be used to improve product, service and current marketing strategy 
  • Assist in planning  & organizing events including tradeshows, customer and partner events, Company events, training sessions and other corporate events
  • Attending events, shows and tours of Hills or other brands to get idea about other strategy and activities.
  • Assist in the Canine Sports Club & MNAWF foundation activities including organizing the events, designing brochures, posters, flyers, signage’s and uploading information in the  website and take part in the promotional activities
  • Provide support at the event location such as booth set-up, dissemination of information on MNAWF mission and activities. 
  • Designing layout and mock design work for the Company and MNAWF foundation in the form of transport advertising, print material (posters, flyers / brochures) and web advertising and product packaging.
  • Creating layout for Interior Design assignments, pre renovation and implementation of project
  • Sourcing for Interior Designers, suppliers, sachet and bottle vendors (packaging ideas)
  • Design new media & website contents and advertising materials including designing, preparing contents and backend management for the company and  MNAW foundation 
  • Preparing presentations and other reports as and when required
  • Plan and coordinate internal photo shoots, website design and communication as well as printed collaterals.
  • Maintain, build and update mailing databases
  • Assist the marketing manager & marketing and sales team members as well as other departments as and when required
  • Develop, manage and maintain the organization’s website, marketing materials including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, etc.
  • Carry out other related duties and respond to day to day enquires



  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communication, business administration or related field
  • At least 3- 5 years of professional experience, with demonstrated success in engaging with teams in marketing, communication, media fields and corporate engagement.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (excel, access and word) and good IT skills (including website development, social media and other digital marketing tools) and an aptitude for new approaches
  • Good knowledge and understanding of customer care, equalities & animal or social welfare will be an added advantage

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Excellent communications skills, with a solid knowledge of English grammar and the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including the ability to communicate well with a wide range of people
  • Excellent organisational & administration skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (excel, access and word) and good IT skills (including website development, social media and other digital marketing tools) and an aptitude for new approaches
  • Able to act on own initiative, manage own time and prioritise workloads
  • Have a proactive and supportive approach with the managing of staff, volunteers and interns
  • Demonstrable skill at managing projects conducted alone and with others

Selection Criteria

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering marketing campaigns
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a marketing, communication and media fields
  • Experience of design packages or website development
  • Good understanding of marketing concepts
  • Proven skills in corporate engagement, project planning, financing, implementation and evaluation with regard to marketing, communication and media fields
  • Proven knowledge and experience of the NGO sector, preferably of animal welfare or social welfare non- government organisations
  • Copywriting, editing and proofreading skills for a range of media (online and print), including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and simply
  • Familiarity with web-based communication technologies
