Human Resource Manager

Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong business partnerships with management team, local employees, regional team to ensure business and operational needs are met.
  • Managing the full spectrum of HR support - HR Processes & Tools, Recruitment & Selection, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits and Employee Relations/Industrial Relations, etc.
  • Lead and ensure all HR policies, practices and systems in areas such as compensation & benefits, talent management, staffing, talent management, learning & development and employee relations, are properly developed and implemented for the country.
  • Prepares job descriptions, conducts job evaluation and salary surveys, establishes salary structures, develops salary budgets, and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
  • Carry out communication programs to promote effective company-wide communication channel. Coordinate employee activities to promote team work, harmony and cohesiveness.
  • Conduct employee engagement and other related surveys and follow up on all related action items.
  • Formulate compensation strategies, develop and implement compensation policies and procedures in order to attract, retain and motivate competent employees.
  • Develop plans and strategies in succession planning and performance management, in ensuring that the company is staffed with highly competent employees which meet current and future staffing requirements.
  • Develop appropriate HR strategies and solutions to help attract, develop, engage and retain the best talent in the market.
  • Responsible for all industrial relations activities such as handling disciplinary actions, grievances, counselling, domestic inquiry, advising and guiding on the effective and best practices related to industrial relations matters;
  • Manage the salary budget to ensure FTE tracking and salary costs are within budget. Provide accurate information to support annual operating plans and salary reviews.
  • Designing and carrying out Training Needs Analysis (TNA) on employees as well as various divisions to identify training gaps and design the yearly Training Master Plans. Designing and facilitating in-house developmental programmes for all employees. Sourcing and establishing a cost effective and comprehensive list of training providers, courses and learning opportunities for all employees in Amway Malaysia. Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs and to recommend for enhancement or improvement if necessary.
  • Lead and guides the HR staff through the complete operation cycle; supervise and develop HR staff for continual improvement and optimized performance.
  • Maintains and creates a positive atmosphere and culture within the Company that allow for communication that ensure positive morale among employees.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resource management/ Business Studies or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years work experience in the Human Resource function with good knowledge and hands-on experience in the local employment practices.
  • Familiar and expert in Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act.
  • A good understanding of the latest HR practices in areas such as Talent Management and Leadership Development, Competency Development and Performance Management.
  • Well verse in Hay Job Evaluation Analysis.
  • High level of influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
