I T Business Analyst

Petaling Jaya, Selangor


Business Analysis:              

  • Plans, designs, develop and launch business systems to support core organization functions and business processes
  • Gathers project requirements for software applications, defines design specifications, builds test plans, cases and procedures, creates user documentation, defines training plans and builds and supports rollout and cutover implementation plans.
  • Generates and compiles data based on interactions with the business and provides them to management for resolution of system issues.
  • Acts as primary contact with the business to maximize IT system functionality

Quality Assurance:

  • Analyzes application components to determine valid, effective testing strategies.
  • Authors and executes test plans and test scenarios.
  • Tests business application components and provides feedback to improve design and functions.
  • Requires senior level proficiency in theoretical concepts and applied principles and practices of area of specialty.

Team Lead :

  • To play the role as the team lead for the BA resources in SEA, managing projects that are to be delivered by the local SEA IT BA teams.


  • Degree in Computer Science/IT/Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of working experience as business analyst or quality assurance analyst, in conjunction with applications development or e-business processes are preferred.
  • Ability to partner with customers to define and map business processes and business technology needs.
  • Works collaboratively with solution architects, developer, test team members in developing requirements and specifications.
  • Works with the customer to identify potential future issues, projects, fully understands customer desires and goals
  • Good understanding of customer business processes, practices, procedures and rules.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, data modeling skills.
  • Good Project Management skills.
  • Good in define and develop business case for technology innovations.
  • Good Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, processes and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong command of English, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as a team, self motivated, responsible and proactive
  • Looking for someone that is preferable from vendors background providing applications solutions to clients as they have the exposure of managing project timeline/milestones, costing and resources allocation etc. The person does not need to know RPG or Synon Programming but must have project management skill and PM certification (added advantage).
  • This person to know how to manage projects (small, medium or large projects) and able to assist business to determine and justify the business values/costing etc for projects.
