Industrial & Employee Relations Senior Executive

W.P. Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Industrial Relation (IR) activities for the organisation and this includes all matters related to disciplinary actions to be taken against staff who have committed misconducts, manages grievances, counselling, as well as advising and guiding Management on IR best practices.
  • Lead all investigations into alleged misconducts, prepare relevant documents and make presentation to the Management for decisions, arrange and conduct domestic inquiries, and prepare recommendation papers for appropriate disciplinary actions to be taken.
  • Establish good working relationships with external HR consultants, legal practitioners and related government agencies under the Human Resources Ministry and provide advices accordingly and when necessary make recommendations on best practices relating to managing court cases.
  • Manage the IR database to ensure it is updated and report IR issues/cases to management as and when required.
  • Lead all staff counselling sessions and to manage performance Improvement initiatives to ensure staff performances are meeting expectations set.
  • Review existing policies, procedures and guidelines and propose changes in accordance with the law.
  • Create more awareness by conducting IR related training for Head of Departments and other key stakeholders. To manage employee Performance Improvement Plan and perform periodic review on PIP cases.
  • Organise employee relations activities to foster better engagement and interaction among employees. 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • At least 2-4 years’ of related working experience is a must for this position.
  • Well versed with Malaysian Employment Law, i.e. Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967, and is familiar with current IR regulations and latest cases.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Good presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Results driven and able to work independently.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia.
